Renaissance at North Colorado Station is a unique project in that it will have resources specifically for homeless families so help provide a nurturing environment for children.
Hi, I’m Jessie! Thanks for taking the time to look at my site. Helping the homeless has become a major part of my life. I feel that it is a very solvable issue that is often overlooked. Below is a project from the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless to be built specifically for homeless families in order to give children a safe, sustainable environment so that they can focus on what it is to be a kid. I am helping this project come to life by raising money from the surrounding community. Whether you have already donated or are planning to donate thanks you! And if you are just curious, I hope that I have inspired you to do good things in the community, whether its helping those on the streets through foundations like mine, or putting a quarter in an expired parking meter.
Living in Colorado where it is so cold, I have a lot of compassion for people on the streets. With the economic conditions of the past few years, I have been noticing more and more families on the streets as well. Seeing these families caused me to reflect on how lucky I have been in to grow up in an environment where I knew that I would never go to school hungry and would always have a warm place to do homework at night. I began this organization so that I could give other kids those same opportunities so that they would have the chance to excel in their education and be able to solely focus on their futures.
Jessie’s Homes for Families is currently working with the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless on building a transitional housing unit for homeless families in the Denver area. Jessie’s Goal is to raise $150,000 to provide the equity needed to build 129 transitional housing units for homeless families.
With your help in donating to Jessie’s Homes for Families, the building on the left will be turned into the beautiful building on the right to take homeless families off the street and provide them with shelter, nutrition and resources as well as give children an equal chance to learn, live and progress.
